Rain = Perfect Craft Day!

This morning I woke up at 4am and it has been raining since.  I finished up my candy cane candles and made some brownies in my mini muffin pan and I made some clay handprint plaques with Jordans hand once she passed out.  I think they came out pretty cute!  Now I just have to wait for them to dry which the website says 1-2 days or possibly more depending on the thickness.
Yesterday I discovered Jordan has 6 teeth or semi teeth now.  She has 2 that are barely showing and 4 others that you can see.  Im gonna miss her gummy smile!

Inspired!

It's been about a year since I have blogged, posted, updated, etc. But a friend of mine has inspired me to start again. I've also been inspired by pinterest to craft more and I really enjoy the stress relief I get while making something new and the finished product makes me feel so proud!

So in the past year I had a baby! Her name is Jordan Lynn and she was born on June 21st. What a joy she brings to my life! Doesn't those baby fat rolls just make you melt? There is nothing like being a mom & I am so happy that I have been given the opportunity to be one to the best & prettiest baby girl ever (so what im bias)!

Also in the past couple of months I have been making some cute stuff! Pinterest is my new friend and I love that I can catagorize and save so much inspiration & projects. I've done a lot so far but it would be so much fun if I could DO them ALL! haha. Heres one of my lastest finished projects:

Until next time and I hope its not another year before my next post haha!

Bizarre and Unique Holidays

Today is "Do a Grouch a Favor Day "! According to Holiday Insights.

Details:
Do a Grouch a Favor today. Do it and make the world a better place.

Everyone has been a grouch at one time or another. Some people are seemingly grouches all of the time. It's in their nature. Others are occasional grouches, influenced by events in their lives, lack of sleep, the weather, etc. A few people are good at disguising their grouchy mood. But, they still need cheering up.

Look around for someone who is in a grouchy mood today. Then, do him or her a favor that will cheer up their day. There's plenty of grouches out there to practice on. Try it on all of the grouches that you see today, and watch the results!

By the way ... March is National Craft Month! :)

Blog Neglector

Ok ya so it's been awhile since I have posted! Lots of new things have happened in the past 2 months!
I got a new puppy right after Christmas. Her name is Hailey and she was born on Halloween. She is a miniature poodle and the cutest little thing ever. She's always running around and wanting to play which leaves me little time to craft lately. And you can't do any kind of crafting around her because she loves to play with everything. Isn't she a cutie pie?

When you whistle...

Also this month my mushrooms were in the magazine "Shop 4 Kids"! I was so excited to see the screen shot. Can't wait to get the actual magazine to check it out for myself.

Mushroom Delight in Shop 4 Kids!

I've also been busy working on my website Mushroom Delight.com. I use to do some webdesign stuff acouple of years ago and thought I might try and get back into it. It's so much work though and I have to get used to all the codes and stuff again. It's taken me a good 3-4 weeks at work to finally get it somewhat finished. And I'm still working on some new mushroom items and misc items to put in there. I still have my etsy shop though!
I hope that everyone else has been doing good and keeping busy! Now I need to go read some blogs and get caught up!

Day of fun!

I finally got our Christmas tree done up today!

and I've been working on a scarf that is just about done!

We made chocolate covered pretzels yummy!

And I made Holiday Snack Mix super duper yummy!

Here's how I make the Holiday Snack Mix:
Add the following in a big bowl and mix everything together.
1 Bag of Kennel Popcorn (popped)
1 Cup M&M's
1 Cup Peanuts
2 Cups Chex Mix
2 Cups Cherrios
1 1/2 Cup White Almond Bark
After you mix it all together let it sit for about 20 minutes and mix again to loosen the harding of the Almond Bark.

I've been having fun...

how about you? I've been busy with all sorts of things and stuffed up from a cold I think I got in a convo with Maree LOL. She has made me a new holiday themed etsy banner that is just the cutest! I want to keep it up all year round. Go check it out in my etsy shop!

I've also made some new houses that are glittery and pastely. I need to cut some more houses so I can make some ornaments before it is to late. But I'm behind and haven't even gotten my Christmas tree up yet.

I've been in the chat on etsy and found some really cute shops and friends in there. Yesterday we played a game and did a little giveway and I won these cute donut stud earrings from glamasaurus! I'm going to add them to the package I am sending my stepdaughter for Christmas. She's going to love them! glamasaurus is also holding a Big Fat Blog Giveaway so you should definitely run on over there and enter! If you win then you get one of her beautiful custom collage necklaces! Wonder if she makes mushroom collage necklaces?

Im off to catch some snooze! I want to make some soup later. It's been so cold out and some warm yummy soup might be what I need to kick this cold in the butt. tata :)

Happy December!

I hope everyone had a yummy Thanksgiving Day and got their belly full of all the good fixin's to be had! I had a very nice day cooking, eating, and watching movies with my brother while my husband was passed out. We watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 but I had never seen Part 1 so I watched it on Friday. I really loved the movie and hope they come out with a Part 3.

Yesterday I made Leftover Turkey Soup which turned out to be a good day to make it since it was rainy, cloudy, and cold. I make mine with leftover turkey, bacon, white corn, potatoes, wild rice. And serve it with some warm yeast rolls. Jeremy (that's my husband) has been asking me for it the whole month of November! Needless to say he's a pretty happy camper now!

As far as shop news the FREE Shipping is still in effect until 12am tonight and since today is the 1st I have taken $1.00 off every item in my etsy shop. So get on over there and get the mushroom you want and need before 12am tonight!

I'd also like to send a Congratulations to Digital Misfit who won the Custom Colored Mushroom Giveaway from Maree's Wednesday Giveaway! Also Congratulations to Jeannine aka MamaFeelgood who won a Wooden Snowman Ornament from Funky Finds November Giveaway!

The month of December is already a busy one and I have lots to do and prepare for. Stay tuned for more later! Enjoy your Day!
::hugs::

Come along with me!

I found some really cute sites tonight while surfing around the internet! Let's go shopping!

Wouldn't you feel loved eating off this plate of hearts? Emma Bridgewater carries polka dots, christmas prints and so many more prints in just about everything! I would like everything please!

Did you know Linen & Things is closing??? Right now they have some 50, 30, & 25% off bedding, bath, and some cookware things!

I collect all kinds of coffee cups and mugs and I love the whimsy style in Village Clayworks collections! I know Beth would love this owl toe bowl but I love the cute little birds mug!

I've been looking for a picture or mirror to go above our bed but I'm thinking about going with a decal like this one from Badass Custom Decal. I did a search for the decals and it's the only one so far that I really like. Did you know you can put decals on your toilet?

Alright...Im done shopping for now!

Oh I have to add LOOK how cute these Bento Box Gifts are!! I want them all!

Eye Candy (FAT FREE yup yup)

I have finally finished what was suppose to be a day project! Turned it into a week long one! Im in love with the way they came out and I definitely will be making more since I know how I want them now. Oh and if you didn't figure it out... they are mini elf stockings (or what Rita called them elf socks *hehe*) I used fabric for the base part, chenille fabric for the top. And at the last minute I crocheted a little hanger part instead of ribbon because I forgot my ribbons at home (jackpot LOL), and the pompoms I made using yarn. It's the first time I ever attempted making pompoms and I so want to make more!

Mini Elf Stockings

Now that I am finished with the "elf socks" I want to make me a scarf (or atleast try)! It's going to be in this super super bright turquoise, hot pink, red, and purple. Totally not the colors I would normally wear. But I saw this really beautiful one at the mall last week and I wanted it so bad but it was $50 bucks UGH! The yarn I got is the same colors as the one I wanted I just hope it comes out pretty like the one I saw. So I'm off to have my hour affair with "TOP CHEF" that came on last night and see if this scarf thing is going to work!! Man I love this show! Any one else watching the new season?

Snowman & Mushrooms?

They just don't go together! Or do they? With my little obsession with mushrooms and new love for snowman this year. I think they look cute together! I still have some other ideas to make some little friends for this little guy that I hope will get done today. But with all the other 50 million projects swarming around in my head I just don't know. I need about 10 more hands and a 100 more hours in my day. I even managed to get up extra early this morning to hopefully get a lot of things done before having to take a nap and go to work tonight. But with housework also needing to get done I'm not sure if I can get it all done.

I know when it's time for Christmas when...

I spend about 4 hours assigning secret partners for the FAA Lucky Parcel & Pay It Forward swap groups I run! Phew what a night! It's going to be lots of fun though and I haven't been doing much swapping lately since I have been trying to get other things in order. But if I want something under the tree to open Christmas day then I need to jump on the swapping wagon and get busy! Jeremy and I have decided that we are going to get a flat screen for our bedroom and I've been wanting a fan in a couple of rooms in the house so that will be our Christmas presents to each other. Then on his side of the family we've decided to not exchange presents because we basically just get everyone the same thing and receive the same thing so what's the point right? Instead we will all get together and have dinner and play games all day which I think is so much fun!
I've been thinking about starting a Secret Santa swap on Fabric Addicts Anonymous Group but I'm still working on how it will work. If I'm going to do it though I need to get on the ball and post it to make sure everyone has enough time to gather and send out.
Speaking of Christmas and all ... I've been thinking of all kind of things to make for presents and my etsy shop but just can't get into making nothing. I'm not sure if I have this feeling of being overwelmed with things right now or just me being lazy. But I know it's one of them haha. I still have a few more hours of work tonight so maybe I will try and work on something!

Moving on to another room.

Since last week was such a hit with my craftroom and it's just the way I wanted it this week I decided to work on our master bedroom. I believe the paint on the walls and trim was the original color from when the house was first built some 10 or something years ago. The color was a dull worn out beige. I've been wanting our bedroom to be bright and fresh so I painted it a light green color with glossy white trim and doors. I'm absolutely in love with the color and I love the way it goes with our dark furniture. I still need to get some stuff made to spiffy it up a bit and put some pictures on the wall. But as of right now it's painted and everything is back in place. I'll post some pics in the next day or two!
This upcoming week I was thinking of tackling our little master bedroom walk-in closet. Since it's something I can hopefully do on my own since my brother and husband might be going out of town. It's seriously the place where all the junk is put and I don't know how we manage to get our clothes out of it. Hmm...maybe that's why all the clothes are put on top of the dresser? But I have a question ... Would you paint the inside of your closet the same color as your bedroom? Or the same color as the other closets? The rest of our house is a sorda beige slash yellow with white trim (same as my craftroom) Any suggestions?

Happy November!

Yesterday was such a hectic day and my truck broke down so until they fix it I won't beable to get the boards for my table. Hopefully today it will be fixed since I have to go back to work tonight. They say the fuel pump has to be replaced. Something expensive as always! Besides getting my table done we still have to put the front piece on the desk and my brother has to make me some shelving under the desk and some little boxes. It felt so nice to walk into my room this morning. Not only because I didn't trip over something while walking in the door but because everything was is in it's place and it just felt so fresh and CLEAN!

We didn't do nothing for Halloween last night. I was so beat that I ended up crawling into bed about 9am with the worst headache and I think I pulled a tendon in my ankle. We did give some candy out to a few of the kids that showed up. I think we had about 10 kids in all and the cutest little witch girl.

You can see what I've done so far in my flickr! :D

Pre-Weekend Project - Part 2

Today is all about organizing, sorting, and lots of mushroom making! I have all the pieces of furniture where I want it and now I need to go through and organize everything to put in it's place. My brother is going to make me some little boxes that I want to look like miniature crates that I will paint red. Then in the middle of the room where the desk and 2 basket holders are we are going to turn it into a big table with a storage section underneath. That's where I will put the basket holders for now. I really didn't like the idea of covering some of the window with the table but I think it's growing on me. Another thing he is going to work on for me today is some small shelving under my big desk where I can store my papers.

After I get the room somewhat straightened up I have about 70+ mushrooms make for orders and the larger table in the middle is going to be a perfect mushroom making place. Now that I have 2 cups of coffee in me and another fresh and hot cup ready I think it's time to get back to work. I have a lot to accomplish today!

Happy Halloween!
